Wake Up Wednesday: May 11

Today I woke feeling so great! I don’t know if it was how I slept or what but I feel amazing. I’ve finally been able to start working out regularly again (thank God, finals are over) but it has been one of the best things  I’ve ever done in my life. So today I wanted to give you guys a really delicious morning smoothie recipe I recently tried and also a new playlist to get your day started!

(Avo Banana Kale Smoothie from Simple Green Smoothies )

AVO BANANA KALE


We are lovers of all things leafy green— especially kale. And this extremely creamy green smoothie is no exception. // serves two

INGREDIENTS


2 cups kale, fresh
2 cups water
3 bananas
1/4 avocado
Juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon (optional)

DIRECTIONS

1. Blend kale and water until smooth.

2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.

*Use at least one frozen fruit to make the green smoothie cold.

TIP: If your kale is bitter, add the juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon to counter the bitterness.
